Seasons

"...even though seasons change, just be strong; we'll find a way."

I remember the first time I heard the song September Love by Donell Jones. Man, I thought I knew all there was to know about life - the struggles, the joys, the successes, failures and all the 'other things' we're often faced with... you name it, I was the itty-bitty 13 going on 40 year old who had the answers to your problems. Where was I going!? Haha!

Well today...I turn 25! Hooray!

I'll unshamedly admit that I've still got a long way to go. But there's such a beauty and freedom in acknowledging exactly who you are. Making no apologies, and walking boldly in the very form that you were created to be!

I've loved, I've gained and I've loosened up on a couple of things along the way. One thing is certain for sure: I'm far from the hair-slicking, chupa-chup sucking, kickers-wearing, 'will you stop singing in class Karen' teenager I used to be.

Ok, so the last bit was a lie. I'm still being told to stop singing. everywhere. everyday. Sorry Mum!

"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot." Ecclesiastes 3:2

I'm a firm believer in the good old words of the Book of Good News, and just like it says, I've come to know that there truly is a time and a season for EVERYTHING. Move too slowly? You could be faced with the pressure to succumb later than necessary, boredom and insecurity. Move too fast? ... I think we're all aware of the numerous outcomings we could be faced with.

Harvesting the finest of crops, right up to preparing for the successes and disappointments life throws at us, is dependent on this very thing - the concept of correct timing.

Like a flower needs the right kind of soil, and our bodies need the right kind of clothing for each change in weather (yes, any excuse to go shopping, haha!) our lives also need to be assessed and made better with each passing day.

Life gets super busy, but let's all make some time to relax, regroup and reorder our steps once in a while so that we're moving at the right pace - at the right time!

Kandidly His, Kandidly yours,

K-G xo
